What do I do in the spring lake level?

The third Wiggler-segment will open up a path when you chase him in 3-2. Go down that path he opens to find a Bowling Ball. If you haven't captured the third Wiggler-segment yet, then you can't get past that part.

yeppers, and if I remember rightly the sequences is R L R R R U U U. The secret door for the stage is along this path, and two rooms with LOTS of stickers, this is a great way to reload for freebies. And one other note... The location where the bowling ball is... it switches to strike lake, and the trophie will be in its place in this stage.

If you don't know where the second wiggler segment is then it sounds like you haven't gotten the second comet in level 3-3 (Wiggler's house) which would means you didn't get the scrap paper and the second comet in level 3-5.
To get it, you need to ride the leaf around the lake until it bump the stick in the first screen then jump up to reveal a hidden block which allows you to cross the gap and reach both the scrap and the 2nd comet. From there, you can proceed to look for the second wiggler segment. Once you get further and capture the third one, you'll be able to get the bowling ball. The 2nd comet in level 3-4 unlock a path leading to the last two levels in world 3.
