The rumors have been circulating for over a year now that the game would be heading to the Xbox 360 as well as the PS3, and would likely release 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version releases in June.
Konami has killed rumors though as a rep stated "For the record, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game."
This is a very clear statement as it says very bluntly that they apparently have no plans on bringing the game to the Xbox 360
The site which broke the news a few days ago that it would and is coming to the Xbox 360 apparently never contacted Konami for a first-hand reference.

dude im not dissin u but if halo 3 did go to the PS3 it wouldnt be a loss for us Xbox owners becuz most ppl i kno think Halo is overated, and also nobody really knos if it will or not lot's of things change like Devil May Cry 4 im not here to dis but it could happen
I think It would be a major loss if Sony lost the exclusive rights to the MGS franchise. With so many companies running to other consoles for the dough (SqureEnix, I'm looking at you!) you wonder if their are any third parties that are loyal anymore.
I know this sounds stupid, but I wish there was just ONE console instead of loads, because people could then enjoy every game instead of just some. I hope that MGS4, despite what that rep guy has said, does come out for the 360, even if it came out way after the PS3, that would just make me so happy. It's annoying, because I was originally a PS2 owner, meaning that I could play great games like Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, and Final Fantasy 10 (which is the best game EVER), but when I heard about the PS3's price tag, I felt betrayed, meaning that I went over to the 360, having to sacrifice games such as FFXIII and MGS4. I bet there's loads of people in my position, or similar to it. I just wish that games wouldn't be exclusive full stop - the PS3 can have crappy Halo 3 (sorry fanboys but it's true) in return for better games instead.
good cause PS3 needs some good exclusive games and more games period...exactly what some 360 ppl are saying isn't happening PS3 games aren't coming to 360. It is vice-versa lately
Well if tit does or does not who cares. I love my PS3 for the future beyond that, to 2012 and all that brings. Not just the decent 2008. I mean God of War, and Little Big, and Infamous, and Gran Turismo, and Haze and Killzone and RESISTANCE 2, And FF13, Should be a ok 2008. But 09 and 2010 will better graphics wise! I mean all those games are maybe at what 50% of the processor now? And my guess on why Devil may cry did so well on the PS3. Its not like people in that company have not had trial and error, and are learning how to get the thing going on that machine some.

if you like game or should i say if you are a game loveer, true game playa know that no matter what console you have a good game is a good game. as for me that why i try and get all console so there is no dilima of what game should i get to play. i do uder stand the price of the console or anything that is great. i think the only thing with exclusives is that it defines the reason why you would buy any of the three consoles. if ALL games came out on ALL consoles then you would just buy the 360 as it would be the middle ground between graphics and cost (not anymore though since the arcade is less than the Wii now) and MGS4 is the only thing attracting me to the PS3 at the moment. no offense, its a great console and would happily have one, but i still cant justify the price...yet. i heard about a price drop with the other two consoles as well. all praise the 62nm process for making electronic goods of today cheaper!

As far as I'm concerned, all this union is about is fanboyism. But yeah, things have happened to many games that we're PS3 exclusive, like Devil May Cry 4, Assassin's Creed (and that WAS a PS3 title), GTA IV, Fatal Inertia, Bladestorm, Virtua Fighter 5.

I'd like to get MGS4 when t comes out, but I guess I have to save up money for the PS3 first.
MGS4 is THE reason I bought a PS3. I do hope the exclusivity of MGS4 to Sony stays that way. Hopefully God of War III will be just as perfect so that I do not regret getting a PS3. ( To be honest Gears of War almost made me do just that.)

i supose thats a good thing, microsoft is dominating the games market right now. sony need to stand up and deleiver some good exclusive games. and release them sooner, i dont even have a ps3........yet...and would of bought for 360 if it came out for it.
hmm thats odd that they never got the source directly from Konami but no matter it is true. the rumour was only there to excite 360 owners just like the whole Halo might now come to PS. I think we just ahve to face that there are still exclusives out there.
