- Fate by Numbers was released as a freeware adventure game recently. You can download this amazing FMV futuristic detective noir adventure at http://www.fatebynumbers.com/.
- The planned Penumbra trilogy has been cut down to two games. The sequel to Penumbra: Overture, titled Black Plague, will release in early 2008.
- CSI: Hard Evidence, which is being developed by Telltale Games, is now released on PC and Xbox 360, and will release for the Wii later this year.
- The Hardy Boys will have their own adventure game series, starting in early 2008. In other news, Nancy Drew now has her first game on the Nintendo DS.
- More adventure games have been added to GameTap (U.S. users). You can view a complete list I have compiled here.
- Secret Files: Tunguska and Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None are both being remade/rereleased for the Wii.

A great cheer to some publishers and developer groups initiative to launch free adventure games. It is an amazing but forgotten genre that must be resurrected. I saw recently another great initiative for example of Lucas Arts and Adventure Games of launching game packages that include 2, 3 or more old games in the same box at low price and sometimes graphic enhanced.
