STORY
Kingdom Hearts is the story of Sora, a young 14-year-old boy whose world is shattered when a violent storm hits his island-paradise home, and is separated from his two closest friends, Rikku, a 15-year-old boy, and Kairi, a 14-year-old girl. the storm scatters the three from different and unknown worlds.
At the same time, ther eis a turmoil in the Disney Castle. King Mickey is missing, and Court Wizard Donald and Captain Goofy set out to find him.
On their travels they meet Sora, on his own search for his lost friends. The three are told of ominous creatures known as the Heartless - beings without hearts derived from an unknown dimension and, as it turns out, the ones responsible for the devastating storm. The Disney villains, enticed by the power of darkness, manipulate the Heartless to help them gather the princesses of heart who are needed to open a mysterious final door.
Upon discovering the link to the Heartless, the storm and the disappearance of King Mickey, Sora, Donald and Goofy join forces and help familiar Disney heroes to save their worlds from the Heartless.

FINAL MIX
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix has several events and a number of gameplay tweaks that are not in previous releases. Spoken dialogue is in English, with Japanese subtitles. New scenes, clarifying certain plot points, such as Riku's journey and foreshadowing of Kingdom Hearts II, were included. A gameplay tweak allows the player to skip cut scenes after seeing them once. The optional bosses first included in the English version were introduced to Japanese players for the first time, along with "Unknown", in an attempt to raise interest for the sequel.
In another attempt at foreshadowing, a video titled "Another Side, Another Story [deep dive]" plays at the ending if the player accomplishes certain tasks. New music tracks incorporated were "Disappeared" and "Another Side". The "Night on Bald Mountain" and "One-Winged Angel" tracks from the English version were included as well. Other changes include new abilities, new weapons, new items, additional and recolored enemies, and gameplay tweaks to make the game easier for the player, along with two new difficulty levels.
On the first day of the re-release, the game also included either a deck of Kingdom Hearts cards or a special music CD. A limited "Platinum Edition" version of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix was also released. The platinum version included an action figure of Sora, a sticker set, sketches of some of the main characters, and the game itself.
MOBILE GAME
A Kingdom Hearts game was developed exclusively for V CAST, Verizon Wireless's broadband service, and was released on October 1, 2004 in Japan and on February 4, 2005 in the United States. It was one of the launch games for the V CAST services. The game, developed by Superscape and published by Disney Mobile with no involvement from Square Enix, features the original Kingdom Hearts's gameplay, modified for the input method of mobile phones.
The first section begins with the protagonist of the original Kingdom Hearts, Sora, shipwrecked on a seemingly uninhabited island, his friends Goofy and Donald missing. Sora must find a way to escape the island, as well as reuniting with Donald and Goofy. Reception of the first playable mission pack was mixed. The game was criticized for its awkward controls and limited availability. The visual appeal was praised; GameSpot stated that Sora "is very detailed and well animated" and complimented the 3D environments
MANGA & NOVEL
A manga series based on the game was released in both Japan and the United States. The story follows the events that took place in the game with a few minor differences to account for the loss of interactivity a video game provides. Some events that took place in the Final Mix version were also included. The manga was originally serialized in Japan by Square's Monthly Shōnen Gangan, but has since been released worldwide. All four volumes have been published in English in the United States by Tokyopop. The first volume was released on October 11, 2005. The fourth volume was released on July 10, 2006 and was followed by a boxed set containing all four volumes on October 10, 2006
A novel series also based on the game was released in Japan. It was authored by Tomoco Kanemaki and illustrated by Shiro Amano. The novel series consists of two volumes and is scheduled to be released in the North America on March 25, 2008.
SALES
As of December 2006, Kingdom Hearts had shipped over 5.6 million copies worldwide with 1.1 million in PAL regions, 1.5 million in Japan, and 3 million in North America.

You're right. Final Mix was only released in Japan.
hey how to play this game?
this is the greatest game ever along with the whole series.
I would love to have Final Mix so bad
Alright finished this up!

After I got KH and beaten it a couple times, I found out that they had released Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I was pissed, but I'm pretty sure it was only released in japan (I didn't check). Still, Kingdom Hearts was and still is a great game!
