The following is a series of journal entries from a teenage boy living in downtown Baltimore. Before the Combine shelled the city with headcrab payloads, they did something to the air. Now Baltimore is surrounded by thick mists. They are less prominent in the daytime, but the air never really clears. At night, it's nearly impossible to see. Because of such dense population, headcrab populations increased dramatically. Now there are only a few score humans left in the entire city. This is the story of one of them.
