Crackle is country-limited multi-platform web television network and studio, administrated by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and formerly known as Grouper. Crackle distributes original, digital content using production techniques used in TV and films, and is also a platform for distributing Sony's library of television and films in the United States.

VIZ Media has announced the North American debut of the new steampunk/action manga series TEGAMI BACHI: LETTER BEE on September 1st. The series, rated 'T' for Teens, will be published under the company's SHONEN JUMP imprint and will carry an MSRP of $7.99 U.S. / $9.50 CAN.
LETTER BEE first appeared in the pages of Monthly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan and is presently featured in Jump SQ. It's also currently serialized in VIZ Media's SHONEN JUMP magazine and its animated counterpart set to debut in Japan later this year as part of the annual Jump Super Anime Tour.

VIZ Media has announced the debut of the animated Naoki Urasawa's MONSTER featured by Starz Media's Manga Entertainment on Syfy beginning on October 12th as part of the latest season of the network's Ani-Monday programming block. MONSTER is based on the critically acclaimed manga series by Naoki Urasawa that is published in North America by VIZ Media.
"We are very pleased to add MONSTER to the robust anime lineup found on the Ani-Mondays blocks on Syfy and Chiller," says Marc DeBevoise, Starz Media senior vice president, digital media, business development and strategy. "We believe that this addition will give anime fans a lot to look forward to during the season."

Gundam Unicron was announced to be made into an anime a some time a go. All the information related to it has now been announced and confirmed.

This year's 34th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine will announce next Wednesday that an Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (Inuyasha Final Chapter) television adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga has been green-lit.

Marvel Studios announced today that Academy AwardŽ nominated actress Natalie Portman has been cast to star as Jane Foster in the studio's highly anticipated movie "Thor." In the early "Thor" comics, Jane Foster was a nurse who became Thor's first love. The character will be updated for the feature adaptation.

It was previously announced that there would a Dante's Inferno Animation Project, but now we have some Japanese involvement.

It was announced that One Piece will stream within an hour of the weekly Japanese broadcast. The free, English-subtitled simulcast will start on Saturday, May 30 at 9:00 p.m. CDT with episode #403 on www.onepieceofficial.com, followed soon thereafter by Funimation's partner sites.

It has been officially announced what will be the release date for the live-action adaptation of Mamoru Oshii and Hiroyuki Kitakubo's Blood: The Last Vampire anime. Adult Swim television network has removed the Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit (Seirei no Moribito) from its schedule for this weekend. The last episode to run was episode 10 last weekend. The anime series is also missing from Adult Swim s schedule for the next three months. Instead, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 and the rest of the anime programs after it have been rescheduled one half hour earlier, and a second weekly episode of Inuyasha has been added.

Actor Keanu Reeves (The Matrix, A Scanner Darkly, Johnny Mnemonic) told the MTV Movies Blog that he hopes to play the lead role in Twentieth Century Fox's proposed live-action film adaptation of Sunrise's Cowboy Bebop multi-genre action anime series. Erwin Stoff, a film producer who worked closely with Reeves on The Matrix and A Scanner Darkly, told the IFMagazine.com entertainment website in July that a film development deal was signed. Stoff and Reeves both emphasized a desire to remain faithful to the original work.

Anime News Network is streaming Kite: Liberator in two formats: English audio and Japanese audio with English subtitles. It is the sequel to Kite (OVA). The stream is free to view and ad-supported. A higher quality version is available to the website's subscribers. ANN's license to stream Kite: Liberator was acquired from North American anime distributor Media Blasters, and therefore ANN is only able to make the video available to North American viewers.
