Yes, that's right! The Sony and Microsoft Union needs you. All of you, every single recruit and officer to invite any friends that might be interested in joining. The union is dead and we need to revive it. Please create more topics, most more often on the board and do whatever you can to assist. We're counting on you.

This year we have seen some amazing titles from big developers. Popular games such as: Mass Effect 2, BioShock 2, Dante's Inferno, God of War III, Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain, Starcraft II, Mafia II, Gran Turismo 5, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo Reach and many more have been released in 2010, and by many people, this is considered to be the best year for gaming - surpassing even 2008! Also, with GameSpot's "Best of 2010" awards coming soon, I think we should start our own little award ceremony. Feel free to post your opinions about YOUR Game of the Year by commenting here on this update.
On the other hand; there is a lot of promising games being recently announced for 2011, and it looks like next year is going to be very interesting for the gaming industry indeed. The following titles have been announced for 2011 releases:
Dragon Age 2 (PS3, 360, PC)
Dragon Age: Origins was a huge success, come March 2011 and we will get to play another chapter in this series! This time we will get to play as Hawke, character customization is still here but you can only play as a human this time (male or female). However, in exchange for the loss of the freedom for race choice, all of Hawke's dialogue lines will be voiced. Dragon Age II's story will take place over a ten year period, as Hawke becomes a champion of the lands.
Mass Effect 2 (PS3)
First month of the next year, we will see the awesome Mass Effect 2 finally being ported to PlayStation 3. Developer BioWare has stated that this version of the game will include an interactive comic exclusive to this edition which will introduce new fans to the futuristic universe of Mass Effect and the events in the story that took place in the first game, leading up to the sequel. There will also be some DLC included for free with this version of Mass Effect 2: "The extra content includes the Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory, and Blood Dragon Armor packs."
Uncharted 3 (PS3)
Not that much info available for this title. From what I know, Drake's adventures will take him to the Arabian Peninsula this time. I can tell that many fans will be excited about this one, but the release date is set to November 1st of 2011, as of now.
Mass Effect 3 (PS3, 360, PC)
The last chapter in this beloved trilogy will be released holiday 2011. Not much has been revealed, but the first official trailer for Mass Effect 3 tells us that the Reaper invasion on Earth will start in this game.
Resistance 3 (PS3)
Resistance 2 was a big hit for Sony and a great game on its own. Since then, many rumours have started floating about a third installment in this science fiction shooter series, and now they have finally been confirmed with a release date set for the 6th of September, 2011.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Accoridng to GameSpot, PS3 only)
Everyone was waiting for these news! Yes, the next game in the legendary Elder Scrolls video game series is finally coming. The release date has been set for 11/11/11. Some time ago, Bethesda have said that they were working on a new project already for two years and now it turns out that this project must be Elder Scrolls V. This game will be set in the frosty lands of Skyrim and will revolve around dragons. Check out the teaser site (along with the first trailer) here! Skyrim is also going to use a new engine and feature many improvements in character animation. The only bad news about this title that will worry some gamers, is that GameSpot listed it as a PS3 only game. This can either mean that GameSpot staff think that it will be an exclusive/know it will be an exclusive/made a mistake. To reassure any Xbox 360/PC owners or dedicated modders - there has been no official word from Bethesda about what platforms the game will be released on.
There will be many more new games, but those are the ones that seem to attract most attention (and I can see why). Feel free to post your opinion about these games right here.
Okay, I guess that this is all for this update and I hope union activity will rise soon so remember recruits - keep posting, keep making new topics and don't forget to invite any friends who might be interested... but most of all, have a nice day!
Recently promoted new leader of the Sony and Microsoft Union
UPDATE: GameSpot has now made individual articles for each of the three platform versions of Elder Scrolls V, so yes, it is coming to all platforms as almost everyone predicted - no need to worry then, 360 and PC owners! Also, got some more news on BioWare's port of ME2 to the PS3. This version of the game will use up more space on the disc, thanks to the superior capacity of the Blu-Ray over DVD. This means that Mass Effect 2 on PlayStation 3 will have better looking textures than both the PC and Xbox version that were previously released. In adition, the digital motion comic that will come with the game itself will also serve as a "save game creator". It will not only introduce any newcomers to the series but also allow them to make the same choices as every who played the first Mass Effect game did, but it only around 15 minutes (the duration time of the comic). It has also been confirmed that all three of the paid DLC packs mentioned before will be included with the game on the same disc for no additional price.
