I'm surprised the GS Union system hasn't labeled the union as MIA, but that's probably a glitch. Anyway I'll be sending a PM detailing what and why as most of you haven't visited here in a long while.

now normally I would put up a link to penny arcade but that site is known for a lot of cussin' and a lot of stuff not appropriate for anything on GS. Fortunately Ask a Ninja features no swearing and some of the videos on angry alien feature little and one has a bleeped option (i recommend that one, so I don't get in trouble). But if you're sure you don't wants no swearing at all, go to ask a ninja, I say enter angry at your own risk (although it isn't that big a deal).

Ok the union is still pretty small. Ok understandeable considering all we have to offer is our own personal forum. I would love it for people to post more often and make threads to their heart's content but that would be asking for something a lot of unions need. However there are some minor things that I will be doing to at least stir up some interest before our first "feature".

The first of which is (hopefully) a podcast that me and Thelittleraven and maybe Sub_Zero_5 will record and post. We will talk about various funny stuffs and maybe provide you with some inside jokes of ours for reference in future podcasts or posts so you people aren't lost. Like the line "does the word 'LINE' mean anything to you?". Oh man that kills me every time. So if things go according to plan, which they never do, we will have a laugh filled podcast for you guys.

The second is my idea is for officers only. This is my special officer duties (hehe) assignments. What I mean is one officer will be our video dude. One will be our boards regulator.Another will be our scavenger, where he searches for the funniest of stuff in the news, tv, movies and the internets. Another will be ourimages officer, theofficer who either creates or requests sigs, tags, banners and icons for the union as well as general images and pictures. Maybe we'll have one more but those will be the general positions. So if one of these things sound like something you (an officer) would like to do, please feel free to PM me with the position you would like and if you want, why.

So hopefully by Tuesday, all of these things will be squared away. I say Tuesday becaue the podcast might be recorded monday or these positions will be established on Monday.

Ok we're coming along. Compared to other unions that were formed around the same time that we were, Funny Stuffs has more members. I'm liking the 20 person turnout. There is regular posting by about half, which is good for a union of more than 200 members but we are in a little bit of a disadvantage with those odds.

In other news, I'm thinking of making a Witty Caption Contest that will be run by good 'ole curlfro. He runs these over at TUGOWU. This makes for some really funny posts and a lot of turnout post wise. Curlfro I'm counting on you to find some funny photos!

Remember if you haven't done so, invite! Invite all your friends, I know some of you have over 150 friends, if at least 20 of them join, it's a success so if you want to help, invite!

I have had these for some time after the union was first thought of.  I am wondering what you all think?  Most of these go into effect once the union has more of a turnout memberwise.  16 is great but 66 is better.  It seems like this union is destined for a larger but more inclusive audience.  Anyway here it is:

1. A union podcast, TFSU Podcast.  Thelittleraven and I did a podcast for ourselves that started in February and they are funny to us anyway.  So I thought that doing a podcast in the name of the union would be a great idea.  The podcast will include me, Thelittleraven and Sub_Zero_5 if he's around my sometime after school.  Also post comments if you know want to do to a podcast aside from us (I'm lookin' at you Fang) and we could have different podcasts come out once a week, each coming from different people.  I am debating whether this should be officer only.  All we do is record our voices with the record feature on our mp3 players and we load it to a file hosting site off of our comps.  My preferred one is MediaFire.com  It is easy and signing up for an account takes seconds and doesn't even ask you all that many questions.  I just post the link to download and people listen.  We got up to 14 downloads a podcast each week, which is not bad considering we didn't have that many friends here on GS. 

2. Special Officer Positions.  What I mean by this is that officers will be assigned unique roles in the union.  For example one officer could be the main forums regulatory guy.  Another could he the head of the art department, regarding sigs, tags, icons, banners and such.  Another could be our video guy, going around finding videos of comedy we need to see.  Another could be dirty scuba diver of sorts (like stinky from Action League Now!) going about the internet, TV, and other places looking for funny stuffs that would normally go unviewed.  Obviously I can't officially give officers this positions but a sig will be provided once they are assigned that labels you as that officer.
