Or you can come help us write the Journey to save the world from a group called the Federation.
so please come and get activite going again don't be afraid to post new games and topics your more than welcome to do so. also help us vote RPG of the year
Yes you've read it correctly while little is know the source that says its 80% complete. I'm very excited to play it as I loved Ar Tonelico. what we do now about the game is it will have 2D events but its battl system will be done in full 3D this marks Gusts 2nd 3D game the other being Atelier Ronona. Consider the circumstances we might see this game late 2010 earily 2011 due to the fact that NIS usually take a year after its Japanese Release, to be localized and sold in other regions. more updates about this game will become more once more is known you can count on that.
I'm tired of activity being low I want to try my best to get it going (i've no room to talk and I apolagize for that.) anyhow I've listed all of the RPG's that have come out this year and we are going to vote RPG of the year for 09 if it succeeds I would like to continue to do so but I cant' do it alone I need your help and votes please alert me if If i've left a game out. voting will start for the contest on November 15th, because there are still a few games that need to be released. right now we are going to nominate 5 RPG's that were released that would stand out there will be a topic in the RPG Kings Washroom (the boards) for discussions please PM me before adding nominees. thanks guys.
Remember I've posted a new game called "If your favorite RPG comany asked You" to make there next big game what would you add, keep and change to make it big. come and comment on them I wan't to hear it. thanks

White Knight Chronicles isn't even out in North America, but a sequel is in the cards. Famitsu broke the news while detailing the 2nd Wave patch. See more info inside.
July 19, 2009 Square Enix revealed a new character in Final Fantasy XIII, he is a boy named Hope Estheim, who was first revealed in the open sequence in the game. He uses a boomerang as weapon and he seems to have a grudge against Snow when Snow got his mother involved in a major battle.

If there is one game that I'm dying to get my hands on its Dissidia Final Fantasy. While information is scarce about it what we do know is that its oviosly a fighting game. Combat appears to be similar to most fighting games. Limit breaks are used in battle, as some trailers have shown cloud useing Omni-slash on Sephiroth. the game also features summons which appears as nothing more on the screen as a picture. I was talking to somebody at Gamestop and he was telling me that the game is indeed a fighter but you move around and collect items how its going to be set up I don't know it was hard for him to describe but at least we know that we have some room to explore in the game. one thing that i've been really looking forward to getting my hands on is a list of the voice actors. All of the Final Fantasy characters I've come to love over the years I want to make sure they get good voice actors for them so far 6 have been confirmed list is as follows
.................................................................................
Final Fantasy IV Cecil Harvey: Yuri Lowenthal (Roddick Star Ocean First Departure Yosuke Persona 4)
Final Fantasy VII Cloud Strife: Steve Burton (Cloud Kingdom Hearts Cloud Final Fantasy VII Advent Children)
Final Fantasy VII Sephiroth: George Newbern (Sephiroth Kingdom Hearts II Sephiroth Final Fantasy VII Advent Children)
Final Fantasy VIII Squall Leonhart: Doug Erholtz (Leon Kingdom Hearts II)
Final Fantasy X Tidus: James Arnold Taylor (Tidus Final Fantasy X)
Final Fantasy X Jecht: Gregg Berger
I'm looking foward to seeing how Cecil Harvey is voiced because I like Yuri Lowenthal as a voice actor he does really well to bring the characters to life and did a fantastic job with Yosuke in Persona 4
(For those of you who have forgotten hear is a list of the characters.)
Final Fantasy Warrior of Light and Garland
Final Fantasy II Firion and The Emperor
Final Fantasy III Onion Knight and Cloud of Darkness
Final Fantasy IV Cecil and Golbez
Final Fantasy V Bartz and Ex-Death
Final Fantasy VI Terra and Kefka
Final Fantasy VII Cloud and Sephiroth
Final Fantasy VIII Squall and Ultemicia
Final Fantasy IX Zidane and Kuja
Final Fantasy X Tidus and Jecht
Final Fantasy XI Shantallo or somthing like that
Final Fantasy XII Gabranth
rumor has it sora will be in the US version but this is still unconfirmed.

Wild Arms 2 is coming to PSN!
The ESRB has stealthily revealed yet another PlayStation Network release: Wild Arms 2. It was re-rated by the ESRB and listed as available for the PSP and PS3, which probably means it will be a downloadable PSone old titles.
It's not as exciting as Final Fantasy VII or Metal Gear Solid, admittedly, but Wild Arms is still a solid series for RPG fans and a welcome addition to the PSone old catalog.
I hope they can improve the graphics and gameplay. Wild Arms 2 is a great RPG
In Wild Arms 2, a terrorist group called Odessa attempts to conquer the world. ARMS, an international anti-terrorist group, is created to halt Odessa's progress. ARMS recruits several heroes to stop Odessa, including Ashley, a gunfighter; Lilka, a teenage sorceress; and Brad, a former war hero.
Namco Bandai announced a new four player action RPG for PSP called God Eater, the story takes place in a near future urban city, one day a group of creatures named Aragami suddenly surface and attack the human. You joined a defense force, and use weapons extracted from ruins called Deux ex-Machina to battle the Aragamis.
Each weapon can have multiple forms, such as blade, gun and super-elaborate hybrid predator form; the weapons and armors can be further customized with items you acquired from battles.
God Eater supports 4 players over Wi-Fi connection, and there will be a story driven single player mode, as well as multiplayer modes. It is also revealed that Namco Bandai has already filed a US trademark for the game, the game is very likely to be released in US and Europe.

http://www.siliconera.com/2009/05/07/last-rebellion-is-nis-americas-3d-ps3-rpg/
NIS America and Dragoneer's Aria developer, Hit Maker, are teaming up to make The Last Rebellion for PlayStation 3. Nine is an anti-hero and sword wielding "blade". He is joined by female lead Aisha who is a "sealer" (read: magic user).
In battle players switch between the two and disable enemies by aiming at limbs. Hit your enemy's legs to slow them down. Hit their arms to reduce their ability to attack. Huh, this sort of sounds like Front Mission without Wanzers. Outside of battle The Last Rebellion handles like an action game with an anti-hero and has a story of revenge to follow.
The Last Rebellion will come out in North America this fall. A Japanese release has not been announced.

Nippon Ichi, Gust, and Idea Factory are getting together for another PlayStation 3 RPG mashup. Introducing Trinity Universe which has characters from Atelier Viorate and Disgaea… in 3D!
For the first time in a game Etna, Flonne, and Prinny aren't sprites. Outside of the adventure story scenes, the game uses models for dungeons and combat. Trinity Universe's combat system sounds kind of like Xenogears where each attack consumes AP and skills are assigned to three different buttons. Input a set sequence and you can deal more damage. Time is also an important element in Trinity Universe. Players have to destroy a gravitation field and escape a dungeon before time runs out.
Trinity Universe has two different scenarios. A goddess side with Gust characters and a demon lord side with Nippon Ichi stars. The protagonist in the demon lord storyline is a devil dog named Kanata.
Idea Factory will publish Trinity Universe in Japan this August. A release date has not been announced in North America, but NIS America is presenting a 3D PS3 game tomorrow so…
Summon demons and save Tokyo on the DS with this video review for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor.
The Good: Unique, strategic battle system is fun and entertaining. Intriguing story with plenty of mystery and Limited in-game time causes suspense and makes decisions meaningful. Many plot branches with multiple endings. Tons of character customization.
The Bad: Too many places to go with absolutely nothing to do.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona is currently scheduled to release on September 22, 2009.
