You've got an itch to play an old game. You dust off the old CD, install it successfully, and run it. Up comes the game on your 16:9 (or 16:10) monitor with those black side borders, or worse yet a stretched image. You open up the Video Options planning on changing the resolution to find that anything other than 4:3 is not supported....

Anno 2070 - Games turned politics?


Well I guess it had to happen eventually. With every other group ranging from government parties to your local social club talking about the latest carbon tax, or "green versus progress", it was only a matter of time that a game company would release their own blatant view of the future - Welcome to the moral compass of ANNO 2070.

SWTOR in Australia?

Battlefield 3 Released


Unless you have all been living under a rock you'd already know - Battlefield 3 is alive and kicking.

As a long time player of the Battlefield series I was disappointed by EA previous offering 'Bad Company 2'. Vehicles were fodder thanks to tracer darts, and snipers were instant death, especially with a spotter in tow, and I expected the same fare from Battlefield 3. I was wrong. More after the jump.

AG Consultation

The long awaited public consultation has begun! As we all know Australia has had some of the toughest restrictions towards games, while in the same breath granting few restrictions to media that far outstrip games in graphical content.

Virtua Tennis 2009 Announced

Who said sports games aren't suitable for the PC platform? Virtua Tennis 3 was a great game, and now comes the latest version, Virtua Tennis 2009.

The game is set to be released in May 2009 for all major platforms including PC

F.E.A.R. 2 demo coming next week
F.E.A.R. 2

The wait is almost over! According to Kotaku.com, PC gamers will get to play the demo version of Project Origin next week.

Far Cry 2 Reviewed

Left 4 Dead Pre-oreder now Available on Steam

Valve's latest game Left 4 Dead will be out on November 18th (Steam - wroldwide, retail - US), 21st (retail - UK), though I would guess you knew that already. Steam now had the game availbe for pre-order so click the link for more details.

Crysis: Warhead Reviewed
