First thing to bring to your attetion is that we have a new officer in the union. SQUALL20XX who will be helping out in even more ways than he was prior to being an officer

third thing is a new poll in our Off topic General Off-Topic Discussion [Cookies and Brownies Edition]
fourth thing is we will now be having themed banners from time to time. See the Its no longer halloween topic for discussion. Banners may be posted in the topic or PM'ed to me.
*** Please note that not everyone will be getting the "fastesttruck mentioned you in a comment" auto PM right away. I'll be sending them out in groups from this point on to break it up. Its way too bleh to post all those comments at once. Theres just too many of them to do. So there might be an hr gap between bunches or a few hrs between them. Its been a while but its that time again for telegrams! Three things to note this time around. First is the Gamespot Webby Awards Emblem (Confirmed) Short notice tho so hop to it! (and for the records bunnies tend to be really cuddly and soft)

The Nominations round for the union awards has started! Gamespot staff have shown interest in the awards this year and perks are still being discussed but there is a chance of there being union and profile points being handed out. So as if nominating the different unions that are out there that you feel should have a shot at winning, you might also get something out of it ^_^ (Nothing has been confirmed as of yet tho about bonuses.) But it can't hurt to play it safe and post a blog or two with links to the nominations round and send a telegram out if you can. This way if there is a bonus for helping to spread the word out, you'll be on track! So get out there and pick wisely!

Over at the Social Cafe Union there has been talk of doing the union awards since no one has done them in a while and unions aren't all dead even if it may seem like they are. Its been gaining a lot of support from a number of people in just a short amount of time. Heres the topic that they have for the discussion of the union awards.

Welcome to a new thing I'd like to start doing from time to time. An in house updates union home page posting. What these will do is point out new things going on around the union. Hello again members of The Emblems Union. First telegram where we are fully on the new telegram system (as I'm calling it) using the @ feature in blog comments. First off I'd like to thank everyone that dropped a comment on the last telegram stating you received the "fastesttruck mentioned you in a comment" PM from the site. Great to see that its working. I'd like to see that happen again for this one so I have an idea of how many of our members are looking at the telegram. This should be the last time I'm requesting such comments. Hey everyone! First (almost) full run of using the @ feature in comments to send the telegrams. Just a quick msg to inform yous of the Off Topic Celebrity Costume Contest that has started. (Msg is a bit late due to busy weekend and such but not all is loss) And a post by Jody about the emblem for designing a costume for that contest:
