Help Stanford University scientists studying Alzheimer's, Huntington's, Parkinsons, and many cancers by simply running a piece of software on your computer.
Proteins are essential biological molecules which perform a vast array of functions within living organisms. They participate in virtually every process within our cells. Proteins are programmed through a process called folding, literally changing three-dimensional shape. When proteins do not fold properly, diseases like those mentioned above can manifest in varying degrees.
By running the Folding@Home simulation software, you can help scientists understand the nature of protein folding in order to help find cures for those diseases.
