A Dance with Dragons achieved the highest single - and first - day sales of any new fiction title published this year in the U.S. and Canada: 298,000 sales in all, including 110,000 copies in digital format and 18,000 audiobooks. Furthermore, the New York Times reports that ADwD is reviving book shop sales.

British actor Clive Standen, who most recently appeared in Starz's short-lived Camelot, has let slip on Twitter that he has heard the names of three actors that will be added to the Game of Thrones cast for season two. He calls the news "massive" and reveals that one of the 3 appeared with him on Camelot, while another appeared in some other Arthurian film or TV show.
Hello there and welcome to A Union of Ice and Fire! Today the union was formed on what also happenes to be the release date for the much anticipated A Dance with Dragons.
