Well, we are opening up the Designers Central to new possibilities, Illustrations.

Personal illustrations are now going to be encouraged as well as a multiple of other designs. To start us off we will have an illustration contest. There may be some prizes later on, but it has not been decided as of yet. We will start with the criteria:

Rules:
Do not post anything vulgar (this includes images of extreme sexual nature as well as any showing of sexual parts)
Do not post an illustration that is not yours, you will be modded
Have fun!

Follow the entry requirements:
1. Name of creator
2. Title of created illustration (if it has one)
3. Illustration itself
4. Any comments about how you went about designing and completing the illustration

For now the entry date is set for two weeks from today. This may change if there are not enough entries. Feel free to enter more than one piece.

Cool, this should be fun. I've been working on few Illustrations in my off time. Here's the one I'll enter into the contest, for now

Uknowhowwedo

I had fun working on this one and I'll probably be submitting a few more for the competition.

Nice entry. I'll try to pull together some time to enter one of my own.

I'd just like to clarify something really quick, because I think I'd like to enter and get stomped by Dj.

Can it be fan art? Or does it have to be a completely original creation?

It may be fanart as long as it is your own drawing (that is to say, dont search google and enter something you find)

In that case, I'd like to enter this: Wisdom Form Riku

It's kind of fail, but it's MY fail.

I don't even know why I'm going through with this. My ART art isn't very good. Graphic art, not bad. ART art? Bad.

To be honest, your line art in this is very solid and that's not always easy to do This picture would be even better if you made it into a vector image, added more detailed lines in the pants and hair. Also, since this picture mainly has nice solid colors, good shading would compliment your lines well. Here's a tutorial from Omar Dogan that helped me ALOT. If you take the time to follow the steps, you'll see improvement:

BTW, I added a comment to your deviant art page

Armored Dragon

i made this about 2 years ago for a contest so i decided to enter it. its hand drawn and hand colored. i know the coloring is bad i still need to improve my coloring skills a bit lol. i might edit it a bit with photoshop and see if i can improve it.

the character is completely my imagination, i don't have a name for him though

Well thank you.

I shaded him a little bit, but I'm not that great at it. But I guess it doesn't look quite as flat anymore.

I'd like to put this in, possibly change my entry to it. For some reason I just like it a lot more, even if it is somewhat similar.
