During launch we will be doing mostly PS3 stories and most of the forum content I assume will be PS3 based. But I want it to be more like Neogaf which is just...gaming news.

However, I do intend to grow the site into "company" categories as that makes more sense (consoles change).

Expect to see Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony sections for NEWS and FORUMS by the end of the year. Users will be able to customize their RSS feeds as well as receive notifications about updates and replies to specific content they care about.

It really depends on growth of the site. I personally play PS3, PS2 and PSP so I will write about the things i know. If we had a good Microsoft or Nintendo editor I'd accommodate them with their own section / tags.

I'm planning out how to do the "reviews" section. I want users to be able to rate games and then have "reviewers" from the site publish stories. I'll def ask you for feedback when we're building it. And don't worry about the delay thing, I'm more concerned with quality content then being first with crappy stuff. We can worry about being first to drop big stories once we become much bigger.

New flash video player for the site. Thoughts? Feedback? It's not HD, but it's also free with unlimited bandwith and branding so...hard to compete with. I'll consider buying an HD divshare account if traffic and demand for it picked up.

uhhhh...exactly how do i register?

I believe the current idea is that you basically request an account to be made for you (request new password button?), and then emails would be checked and accounts made for those that are to be given access to the site, however it's invite only atm, so even if that is the case don't bother as you won't be getting an account 'til the sites ready either way, and I doubt dj would appreciate the spam either..any plans to change it to something more along the lines of a sign up button/page with (if you want) email confirmation at the end? I figure the majority of people will get lost on how to sign up with the lack of an actual sign up button, though of course that doesn't really matter atm...I should hurry up and actually get mine made to help out the in testing like lol..too much coursework atm deadlines are all fairly soon too.

Hey guys, my goal is to open public registration in the next 2 weeks. I'm working on cleaning up the theme and basic functionality. It's easier to fix these small problems without a ton of users on the site.

Once registration is open to any one it won't be hard to miss how to sign up / login. it will be on every page an easily accessible.

If you would like to work as a moderator or news editor of some kind make a note of it in this thread. I'll need to walk everyone though how to properly publish content etc before I give them the ability to do so.

If you have any suggestions or general comments about the site please leave them here. Really glad you guys are digging the look of it and everything. 

User profiles will be a little bare to start with but I can promise you i'll be working on all sorts of community stuff once the basic forum and news it up and running.
