FAQ

?: What is this union about anyways?

A: This union is about funny stuffs and funny stuffs only, if you don't know what that means, you are thick in the skull my friend

?: What is with the cheese?

A: Got a problem with cheese? Cheese is the food of the gods, do you not know that?

?: So this is a union about random funny stuffs?

A: Somewhat, we love random funny stuffs but we love comedy genius and are big fans of the great comedic aspects of the world, of which have a deeper sense of genius, message or greatness. Eg. Richard Pryor and Monty Python. Now funny stuffs isn't always politically incorrect comedy but most of the time, it is the kind of comedy that we strive to recognize and appreciate for more than what it is on the surface. It is a very widely misunderstood form of comedy and that is why a lot of attention will be devoted to it.

?: So what is not considered funny stuffs?

A: Those fall into the "funny things" category. This is where all that mainstream comedy goes eg. American Pie, Dodgeball, any stupid video on YouTube, anything MTV puts out that is considered "funny" and many other things. You can like them if you want but those are not funny stuffs and don't deserve the respect that funny stuffs will get in this union.

?: Can we swear? Be politically incorrect and"inappropriate"?

A: To the extent that GS will allow. But hell yes! That is the point of this union as well. If you want to tell a black joke, tell it! As long as the right context is used and we know it is not directed towards attacking black people in this example. Any racial or sexual stuff is allowed. There is difference between racism and political incorrectness and that is context, history, culture, funny stuffs and a lot more factors. Racism is hating or attacking another group (usually on an individual basis) because of who they are racially, sexually, ethnically, or whatever. This is another discussion for another time.

PS. Being "offensive" goes against the GameSpot Terms of Service so no derogatory terms regardless of context but context doesn't matter to a mod or admin, they will do their job so watch out and be clever!

?: Isn't this union going to change anyway?

A: Well sort of. We're going to change the dynamic but our mission remains the same. This union has survived far longer than I suspected and so far I would say it's an awkward success.

?: Hey this is sorta like Doofy Crap in a way, are you copying Richie-G!?

A: No, actually we were here before Doofy. We actually love doofycrap but you have to remember that doofy crap's mission is involves the internet and internet only. We accept all funny stuff. That is a blog, this is a union.

Terms:

Funnys Stuffs - Funny stuffs is stuffsthat are beyond what they seem on the surface, that send a message, have a greater genius, or underground appeal where the deeper you go, the funnier it is. True comedy is what is on the surface and much more.

Funny Things - all that other funny crap no one needs to see

Cheese - the best food invented, ever

Ninja - the thing that is waiting stealthily right behind you, right now, waiting to strike!

Richard Pryor - The greatest general, politically incorrect, racial, and any other, stand up comic and overall comedian of all time. No arguement, he is the greatest, he was a great comedian with messages that made you laugh a lot, that made you think, that brought about discussions that need to be discussed and completely shocked most people, which sends the message across really well. He also starred inand wrote many movies. He starred in a lot of them with Gene Wilder.

Monty Python - Group of 6 comedians based in Britain (1 american) that ran a quirky, silly, hilarious, weird, and genius sketch comedy show back in the late 60's and early 70's. The most brilliantly clever and genius comedy. They are the world's biggest inside joke for those who know them. They also made 3incredible movies.

Mel Brooks - A jewish movie director and writer that produced many of the greatest comedy movies of all time. He was not afraid to be politically incorrect and began his career in the '60's and continues to write today. Some of his movies include "Little Frankenstein," "Blazing Saddles," and "History of the World Part 1" (there was never a part 2.) He frequently worked with Pryor throughout his career.

Ask A Ninja -An internetshow where a ninja asks questions from viewers, hilariously. Very funny stuffs. Check it out.

Penny Arcade - A running blog and web comic series that centers around 2 very imformed video game players: Tycho Brahe and John Gabriel (Tycho and Gabe). It's characters are loosely based on its 2 main writers and animators. It's plot focuses on the experiences of these 2 characters as they live their lives of gaming, which consists of hilarious moments, references, insults, offesniveness and all around coolness. Funny stuffs for sure.

Holy Bibble - a webcomic that seeks to parody and rewrite the bible. It's still ongoing and very funny. Actually this website helped me understand the general story of the bible essentially, at least the beginning books anyway.

Doofy Crap - All the stuff on the internet that is totally hilarious or awesome. It's a wesbite recently made by former GameSpot Live host and video, and features editor Rich Gallup. Rich is very funny and knows what he's doing and go to his profile on GS.
