The Sims 2 is still a new game! I'm very sure that there are more surprises in this game that I didn't discover yet!!! So for now I'll say SimCity 5 will be GREAT!
Definately SC5! I've been waiting for an announcement for a while now.

I just hope that SC 5 will be way better than SimCity4. Sure SC4 was addictive and had some awesome graphics and features, but it was almost impossible to be ablle to run a successful city. People abandoned buildings because thier commute time was too long. Even if their job was right next to their home. And even if you mass transit. Mass transit, almost no one used it in my city and you have to plane ahead to have a successful city. Roads become jammed too often and your advisors complain so much. I hope that Sim City 5 will be better, which it should.
If you had asked which franchise I prefer in general, it would clearly be be The Sims. But like some others here I think it's not yet time for Sims 3. It will be when game development has progressed to a point, where Sims 3 could be an improvement compared to Sims 2 as much as Sims 2 was compared to Sims 1.
I am not really a fan of the SimCity franchise so far. I have played both SC2000 and SC4 for a short period but it never really elated me. I am however a little bit curious in what way Maxis might change the game for a new version.
For now I'd say I prefer SC5. But that's only until it's time for Sims 3 and I really need Sims 2 expansions as long as this is not the case
there both great but if i had to choose i say sim's 3 cuz it doesn't get old after a month like simcity does. after i play a simcity game for about a month it just collects dust but the sim's game's never leave my CD-ROM

Because there are allot of little reasons why life is worth living.

It's because the original game only had a hard difficulty. If you get the expansion, you get two more difficulties BELOW the default. And yeah, it's pretty tough on that setting.
I am too waiting for SimCity 5, however, I've been meaning to get back into both SimCity 4 and The Sims 2. I thinks it's too early for The Sims 3, since they're only on their second expansion.
Now Playing: PS3:Warhawk, Folklore, The Eye of Judgment, Rock Band Wii:Super Mario Galaxy PSP:Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition, Silent Hill: Origins DS:Yoshi's Island DS, Super Princess Peach
It is way to soon for a The Sims 3. I have never been a big fan of simcity, though it would make more sence for a new simcity. But what I would like to see more of is the continuation of the Sims 2. It should be fun to see what they come out with for it.
SC 5 by far, TS2 has many more expansion packs in can and will have. That being said, TS3 will probably be the best game I ever played(TS2 is right now so that wouldn't be a surprise.)
