May 2005: The history of GTA Legends is a little boring but if you're interested then read on. It all started back at GameFAQs' San Andreas board. appaloosa582002 and, past officer, rooster542 created a role-playing thread entitled "WARZONE" After it ended, rooster542 and appaloosa582002 became good friends and decided to create a GTA Union at GameSpot despite the other ones that were already formed. rooster542 came up with the name GTA Legends. Since appaloosa582002 had already met the requirements to form a union, with the help from some other friends, he created The GTA Legends Union. Rooster, a good friend of mine, told JO (me) about this "clan" he was making at GameSpot. JO signed up with the name 'edgemeister' and joined GTA Legends.
June-July 2005: GTA Legends was a small union with very few members. The boards were usually dead around this time. It was hard to keep up with the other 2 big GTA unions ahead of us, The Grand Theft Auto Union (over 1,000 members) and The Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Union. Because of this, we hoped to get new members and activity by changing our union name from "The GTA Legends Union" to "The GTA Legends and General Discussion Union."
August 2005: Gamespot's number one GTA Union at that time, The Grand Theft Auto Union, proposed that the The GTA Legends Union, being a small union with little activity, should merge with their union to make one big GTA Union to, quote, "end the bloody union war." That would mean appaloosa582002 would have to delete his union and have all GTA Legends' members join The_Gamester's union. We decided not to because that just proved The_Gamester was power hungry and didn't want any, quote, "competition." We got comment's such as "F*** the GTA Legends" and "GTA Legends Union sucks ass" during that whole merging dilemma. It soon died down and we, the members, stayed true to GTA Legends. One of our officers at that time, Jacquie668, created some union tags that we still use today. rooster542 got MIA and edgemeister made a new account, ThumbsUpMaster.
September 2005: A lot of members started to join, some still continue to post such as HamsterLV and PS2player9X99.
Q4 2005: This is the time what I'd like to call "The Drought." GameSpot went under this redesign phase. The forums were down for nearly a month. When they were back up again, not many members liked it and left. The Grand Theft Auto Union, once a prosperous place and an active community, was now a graveyard of what could have been. This was GTA Legends' time to rise. On November 22nd, 2005, GTA Legends became GameSpot's official number one Grand Theft Auto union.
New year - March 2006: appaloosa582002 stepped down as leader because GameSpot, wrongfully, banned him for no apparent reason. He made a new account with a similar name and made ThumbsUpMaster a temporary leader. It was a difficult time because one of our officers at that time, firedupemblem, went on a rampage throughout other unions by deleting topics. He threatened GTA Legends would be next but just before appaloosa582002 was wrongfully banned, he demoted the madman. In time, VinceL finally replied to Appaloosa's e-mails, unbanned him, and he became leader again. When ThumbsUpmaster was leader, he took the liberty to promote a few active members and demote all inavtive members. Some still post here today like mosespippy, og_lawz, and Gmex. ThumbsUpmaster also changed our union name back to its original form, The GTA Legends Union.
April 2006: ThumbsUpMaster stepped down as a member because of personal reasons. Many friends left, like migueloventura, The_Blessed_One, and dave_the_hunter (a.k.a. Vampiro_Hunt3r). But that only left room for new friends. The GTA Legends Union was quiet as when it first started. A user named anthj5 joined and creating several spam topics entitled 'Stab you in the face' solemnly to annoy other members. anthj5 decided to change his ways and is now a respected recruit.
May 2006: ThumbsUpMaster's one month absence from GameSpot was over and Vice City Stories was announced!
Summer 2006: We made some new friends such as axel360, Raeget, and Izzae7. We spurred a lot of new and creative ideas such as a Respect System which keeps tracks on our members' activity, a Recruitment Video, and many others.
Q4 2006: GTA Legends is as active as ever. Some people came, some people went, but we're still a well organized union with a lot of new members joining. Our mission, prove to the GameSpot forums that Grand Theft Auto fans aren't annoying little fanboys that think Nintendo is kiddy; to become "the" Grand Theft Auto union of the community.
2007: We can only wait and see... Feburary 2007: GTA Legends became GameSpot endorsed.
March 2007: GTA Legends started recording GTA Legends Radio.
April 2007: Appaloosa resigned and gave leader privledges to ThumbsUpMaster.

I'm a huge fan of The Tragically Hip! Also, go listen to CBC Radio 3. Put the podcast on your PSP. It's a great mix of rock, hip hop, rap, electro, ska, and pop (pure pop, not that mainstream pop cr4p)
Hi. I'm GTAps2SanA, and I love GTA and Wrestling. Good combo huh? Anyways, I guess there's nothing "special"about me. I like to play golf any time I can, and our school's team made it to the State Finals. Gaming is my main hobby and I don't know what I'd do without it.
I'm a pretty laid back guy from Florida that's into music, games, computers, and art. This is the second time that I've been a serious member of GameSpot. My activity started to dwindle around August and September of 2006, so it's been awhile. My favorite game is probably GTA: San Andreas. I love meself some Daft Punk whenever I need to get my music on! I've gotten pretty good with Photoshop and I also do some DJing on the side. Send me a PM if you're interested in anything I've talked about. Also, just in case anybody is wondering, I will accept most friend request, especially if I've seen you around. Unions are
