What I'm Watching v.9 (Review)

Neon Genesis Evangelion ( 1995-10-04 to 1996-03-27 )

     Took me a long time to watch this series because I started watching during E3, which wasn't a good idea since I only got five episodes in the whole week. Then last week the Blue jays were on the West coast and they played all their games during the time I watch anime.

     Feeling really sleepy, so a short review today. I really liked animation considering it was made 10 years ago. Even if it's a decade old it still looks better than half of the Anime out today. The only problem I had was some of the Angels weren't creative at all, I mean there was one that was just a cube. All the voice actors sounded so perfect especially Shinji's and Rei's. The opening and some of the background music sounded very dated, but the closing music was nice. I loved the first 23 episodes but I didn't like last three because it felt and looked so simple. Up next Little Snow Fairy Sugar.

Animation: 9.5/10

Sound: 8.5/10

Story: 8.5/10

Enjoyment: 9/10

    There is an alternative ending to NGE its called End of evangelion of i remember correctly, im not at home now so i cant check. Its like what happend in real life(in the anime) when the last two eps in the origional are what happend in Shinjis mind.
    The origional is much better since there you get get the feeling that almost everyone has changed for the better but in the new ending all the characters are juat like they where in the begining of the series like Shinjis dad is still the a-hole he was and Asuka is still a b**** and almost everyone dies in the new ending.
    I liked the origional the best since it got more of the feel of the whole series when the new ending was more of a action series and didnt fit the more serious an psycological(sp?) feel of the series. But since you liked the show yoy should check out the EoE ending aswell
