Trinity Blood (2005-04-28 to 2005-11-//)
This Anime reminds me of a lot of other Animes, such as the whole Vampire thing, which resembles Helling. The setting and atmosphere is similar to that in Chrono Crusade. The airships looks almost exactly like the ones in Last Exile. The main characters personality (Nightroad) reminds me of Vash from Trigun, while his outer appearance looked like a fusion between Vash and Brandon from Gungrave. The animation is very well done and I wouldn't expect nothing less from Gonzo. The CG blended nicely with the background and the colors where very crisp, but the movement in the fight scenes where a bit rough and rigid.
I'm not a big fan of the intro music, but I did really like the outro music and the music in the Anime was again well done, with some nice piano solos and orchestral bits. I didn't like the voice of the Pope because they made him too wimpy and whiney, which made him annoying. Even though when Nightroad is serious is voice is kickass, but when he tries to be cutesy funny, it ends up sounding really fake.
It felt like this anime had two different stories with the later unraveling in the last few episodes. I didn't find myself really liking this Anime until the last quarter. The last five episodes were fantastic and the last episode was awesome. It's not that the first three quarters were bad, but it just that after every episode it didn't make me feel like I wanted to watch more. I would highly recommend this Anime to any Hellsing or Chrono Crusade fans and maybe anyone who just wants to watch a dark and gritty Vampire anime. Up next Shingetsutan Tsukihime
