Peace Maker (2003-10-07 to 2004-03-24)
I usually don’t like anime when the main character is a little kid, but I didn’t mind this one because they surrounded the main character with awesome characters with great personalities. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t like an Anime animated by Gonzo. Just about every anime they make is good and there was no exception in Peace Maker.
The movement and fighting scenes are very smooth and fluid. I didn’t really like the music, it didn’t add to the atmosphere when it was needed and some of the music sounded like it was from a mid 90s anime, but the sound effects were nice.
The story is very simple, just your basic “I want to get stronger for revenge.” This anime reminded me of Samurai Champloo, maybe it was just the time period. I would highly recommend this anime to anyone who’s looking for an alternate to Samurai Champloo or to anyone who’s looking for an anime with a few laughs and a few action scenes. Up next Trinity Blood
Animation: 9/10
Sound: 7/10
Story: 8/10
Enjoyment:8.5/10
Fav. Episode: 15
