What is in a name?
I have seen so many interesting GameSpot names, and have always wondered why someone chose that particular name; which prompts me to ask this.
Why did you choose your name on GameSpot? What does it mean?
robinnwa is really the beginning of my email names; meaning Robin in Washington. I wanted my GameSpot name to be IBeGaming, but some how I goofed, and I have robinnwa instead.

How did you get started playing games?
I started playing video games in bars actually. My favorite was Pac-Man and my girlfriend and I would start the night with a couple of drinks and play until our fingers were red and tired and then off we went to go dancing.
I remember seeing, for the most part guys in these dark rooms playing games, but by then I was 23 or so and felt to old to really check them out. Anyway, I was satisfied with Pac-Man and played until ’85 or so, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. I did not play another video game (and didn’t know anything about the NES) till my husband came home with a Game Boy (1993) with about 6-7 carts in this pack. He said, “he didn’t know what it was, but it looked interesting”, and he found it in the large business park he worked in. Oh my gosh!! I first played Boxxle and had so much fun, and then I played Donkey Kong and died repeatedly trying to get Mario up the first ladder and past Donkey Kong. I could not believe how many times I died playing that game. I knew I was getting better, so I kept trying, and landed out finishing the game. I felt so satisfied, as if I really accomplished something; which I did really I was getting my fingers to move faster and faster. I digress; the other games were Pac-man, Bomberman, Tetris, and Mario Golf. The Mario Golf game I never had the patience to figure out, and then Dr. Mario. I sometimes think of the poor person who lost their games, but if the person hadn’t I would not have had all the great experiences that I have had up till now.

Gackt a Japanese Singer who is talented in many ways; I respect him immensely.
Gackt Camui has spent time learning languages, such as Japanese, English, French, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Cantonese and I read once Italian too. This past 12.05, the Diabolos Tour took him to Korea where he did it in it's entirety in Korean. He knows how to do martial arts such as karate, judo, along with boxing, and billiards. He is multi-talented in his music, and not just in his beautiful sounding voice.
Gackt started to learn piano at 3 year old, he learned the trumpet from his father, and since the movement was basically the same for all brass instruments, and Gackt's fingers had been disciplined on the piano he found after learning the trumpet he could play all brass instruments. When he was in ninth grade, he started to learned how to play the drums. With all that I have previously said, he composes and writes his music too.
He intrigued me at first, because I saw a video of him(blond)singing Mizerableon youtube (url keeps changing)and he looked like TIDUS. OMGoodness I couldn't believe it. I loved playing Final Fantasy X and I loved how the game brought you along emotionally between the players. Therefore, when I saw Gackt (looking like Tidus) singing with that beautiful voice I looked up all sorts of things about him for 3 solid days. That is how much the video affected me. Now I have his movie, all but one of his CD's and all of his concerts on DVD.
He does many things so well, and better yet, his achievements don't seem to go to his head; at the same time doesn't take himself seriously when there is fun to be had. He has a wonderful sense of humor with great wit.
The further he gets from his Malice Mizer days (98') the better and cooler he gets. I think what you see now is who he really is. With his own band, he can truly show his vision.
Final Fantasy and other games with his likeness is that he had the look first. It isn't as if he saw a game and said, "Hey I am going to look like that." You can tell by the dates of him and when the game has/had come out that Tetsuya Nomura (in charge of clothing and character design) looked at him for ideas, they know each other you see. I think in the beginning of Final Fantasy X-2 Yuna sways like him when singing; too far a stretch, maybe.
A final thought, I do not know all about Gackt, but I did see some people that have written negatively here, and my impression is that they know less than I do. He is a beautiful looking man with strong male features but maybe not strong enough for some male egos; just a guess. How can they not be impressed with his talent?
