Will he make it? He is one of the most prolific receivers of all time. Even with his antics, I think he should make it. Thoughts?

If Jim Kelly makes it so should he. The problem with him is dropping catches, but I still think he's good enough for the HOF. The HOF doesn't like WRs though so it's tough to call.

Of course he should make it, it's not even a question. His worst crime is being an ass, not anything illegal.

He will and should make the Hall of Fame. You can't deny his talent and his stats are HoF quality. He has the 2nd most TD receptions by a receiver in a career behind Jerry Rice, this isn't even an argument. If you want a real debate make a thread about if Rod Smith should make the HoF or not.

Actually TO is third behind Randy Moss (or will be in like a week or 2).

He's as good as in obviously. What concerns me is a guy like Hines Ward , hope doesn't get overlooked when the time comes.

He tried to kill himself a couple years ago (2005 or 2006). So no way.

Why mention he is 2nd in TD receptions if it is irrelevant though? HOF deals with careers, not dates.

I agree. Sorry for being such an pain though. Guess I am kind of a Randy fanboy (even though he was lazy with the Raiders he was still a Raider).

So who are the people voting no? Do you guys know a thing about football, or are you just haters? Hmm I'm guessing both.

I think that regardless of skill, if you have no respect for the game or the opposition then you should not be in the Hall of Fame

This is honestly a tough call

He was able to turn it on in the Superbowl and made one heck of a performance but overall when the pressure is on more times then not he's failed to respond

There's also a wake of teams he's tried to destroy, every single team he's been on he's made worse by being on the team

One of his skills is playing WR but another one of his skills is being a paranoid nutjob that destroys everything he's involved with

If he's eligible and he doesn't get the call it wont surprise me

In my opinion his time as a 49er and somewhat as an Eagle will get him there.
