Why did I get modded for flaming here?

This is a friendly message from GameSpot Staff. Please read the following guidelines:

    Why did I get modded for this here? Flaming? All I was doing was agreeing with the guy about fanboys. What, I can't speak the truth about them, now?

    It was this:

    "... all fanboys are stupid. Hermits too."

    You applied a direct insult to almost the entirety of the System Wars board. The ToU makes it clear that you do not have to single out an individual in order for your insult to constitute flaming, as seen in this excerpt:

    Flaming: Communications clearly insulting other users, individually or as a group, directly or indirectly, are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: name-calling ("You're an idiot", "You moron"); direct insults and orders ("Screw you", "Go kill yourself"); insinuations ("Are you stupid or something?"); or insults towards family ("Your mom…").

    Because it was on the System Wars board, you should have received a 7-day suspension for this. You got off with a warning because the moderation was handled by an iMod, who is still learning the ropes.
