why are people bashing Dx 11?

    from the vids I saw (dirt 2) and the windows 7 feature here on GS it looks so freaking amazing.why is everyone bashing by saying" ah, there will be no games to support it" and " its not much of a diffrence".

    because they dont have windows 7 (better on 7 than Vista), want to hang onto XP believing its better, or just delusional.

    Because that is what people do on this board, they bash. Irregardless of quality, potential, value or any other number of rational justifications.

    I dont think its being bashed. I think people "me included" just dont understand the hype for something like this? Its like hyping a new pair of shoes or something?...

    Console hardware is roughly 5 years behind the top PC tech at this point... Just call it jealousy, or perhaps envy.

    Since I've had an awesome PC for gaming I've barely been touching my consoles... The difference is really so much more than just graphics.

    I can't wait for DX11.

    because there wont be games that support it. look at the very few dx10 titles out there, and im not even sure there are any dx10 exclusive titles either. and the ones that did use dx10 a little ran worse than dx9 by far in a lot of cases. people are probably just figuring that dx11 will follow in a similar fashion of only being used partially in a few games.

    Because it's new, unknow, is not on consoles and it has Microsoft print on it, oh, and this is SW, i think those are the reasons.

    Who is bashing DX11? I can't recall a single thread about that on system wars. If anything those are the type of threads you find on the PC game boards. The same way they bashed Vista even though games perform better on it over XP.

    It's not bashing. It's just that people aren't being hyped as easily about it. Only 1 game so far has DX11 working. The rest are using DX 9 still and a handul use DX 10 properly. When you use that context you understand why it's not being accepted so easily.

    I don't see much bashing of DX11 from people. Most people seem quite impressed with the tech demos. I know I have been. I am just hoping that the performance is good, unlike DX10.

    I don't see much bashing of DX11 from people. Most people seem quite impressed with the tech demos. I know I have been. I am just hoping that the performance is good, unlike DX10. :?
