    1.

    Alien

Seriously what else did you expect, we have all seen the haunted house movie, and we always ask "why the hell dont they just leave"? well this movie gives an answer. Because the the house is in deep friggen space!! The Nostromo is a giant black creepy looking ship that you could easily get lost in, and then add a blood thirsty monster in it.

    2.

    Night of the living dead

trapped in a smallfarm house with hungry zombies everywere inside, and inside are people you cant even get along with

    3.

    The shining

the hotel is scarier the jack

    4.

    [REC.]

locked in an apratment building by the government with fast zombies everywhere...nuff said

    5.

    SAW

Yes i know the series has turned into a crappymoney making cash cow, but i still love the original, most of the movie takes place in that one bathroom. Plus you knew somebody was going to cut a leg off but it keep you waiting till the end. and the ending was a giant "OMG" moment

    6. Paranormal Activity

Yes its new but i love this movie. Plus most of it take place in the freaking bedroom

    7.

    Evil dead

trapped in a cabin surrounded by creppy wood and demons n stuff trying to kill you...GROOVY

I'm surprised 1408 didn't make it. But good list nonetheless. Alien ftw!

It's more of a supernatural (of course it's Stephen King) movie, with some pretty thematic scenes. I won't spoil it but the ending was kind of creepy, for me anyways, made my hair stand on end

I'm guessing the violence overshadowed the claustrophobic effect of making you feel like you are claustrophobic.

no actually, just because it slipped my mind

though yes the violence kinda distracted form the feeling of cluastrophobia, it was still a great movie, and still claustrophobic, probably should have added it.

I actually watched it a few months back for the 3rd time (including in the theaters and when it was released on DVD). I could see a sequel coming but the one they spewed out is awful.

That's what [REC] is but [REC] is the original spanish version, and from what I heard the more superior.
