Hey guys just asking will newegg ship out Dragon Age via pre order with DVD and box like Amazon does for PC? Just double checking here first time pre ordering from newegg gonna do the pre order couple days before launch and it will be Standard edition dont have enough cash for CE. Thx guys.

It will specify if its a digital copy, if it doesn't say anything about it you are getting the retail box.

yes the version from newegg is the retail version, it will ship with a dvd and box.

Wondering why anyone would bother mail order pre-order?? You know that the game will be sitting on shelves at your local Best Buy and other stores for days before you will get it in the mail, right? I could see pre-ordering the CE version though.
If anyone can explain the value in this, maybe I am missing out on something?

Ummm, I have never heard of anyone being able to ship a pre-order before the release date. So even if you get it overnight shipping you would still have been able to pick it up off a shelf somewhere that day.

I'll buy that, I pre-ordered two copies of Windows 7 from Amazon months ago and got it 50% off. THat was totally worth it. I just don't see any huge savings on pre-orders for games. Hey, to each their own. It also depends how much I am anticipating the game, if it is something I am really anxious to play I just rather being playing than checking my mailbox. Just wondered why you guys pre-order.

Quite. I ordered HL2 from EB Games before it was released and recieved it the day of release. I was among the multitude trying to get the game to run on that famous first day.

The pre-order of Windows 7 I spoke of just shipped from Amazon today. As I understand it the retail release was today. Estimated arrival date according to the email is 10/29. Thankfully this is not an eagerly awaited game. But hey, I'm getting two copies for the price of what one costs right now so it's all good.

[/QUOTE] I've heard of it plenty of times, the retail outlets get the games well before release day so they are ready to be put out to sell.
