My friend and i were trying to speak to each other when i was playing against him in an ONline Versus game, but could not do so... Were we doing something wrong?

Assuming both of your mics are working then it may just be one of those random things, I had it happen every once and a while on 09 and once on 10. Again make sure BOTH of you have working mics. Try playing each other again and see if the same issue occurs.
