I just turned 21 and now I'm torn two wa ...

    I want to drink because I finally can buy alcohol myself and drink with no problem; but on the other hand, people at church said "You're 21 now but don't drink any beer or wine or wine coolers or hard lemonade or anything". I don't want to get drunk; I just want to drink for the taste. They can't kick you out of church for drinking on your own time, can they?

    What Church do you belong to? And, anyways, go up to that person who told you not to drink alcohol and ask them where in the Bible it says that. Answer? Nowwhere. The Bible doesn't discourage drinking, just getting drunk.

    Ya, moderation is the key young one. I personally usually have about 3-4 glasses of wine...a year. That's about it. If you find something you like, and it's legal, do it in moderation, and responsibly.

    Ya, moderation is the key young one. I personally usually have about 3-4 glasses of wine...a year. That's about it. If you find something you like, and it's legal, do it in moderation, and responsibly.

    leave that church, they have no right to tell you you cant drink, unless they are usein the old "the bible forbids it" excuse and your silly enough to fall for it again
