So, I'm not foolish enough to spend 150 dollars on a 120 gig hard drive upgrade, but am tired of deleting demos and game data everytime I want to try a new demo/GHIII track/watch a video/etc.

So, I was checking around, and my local Target has the 20gig HD for 25 bucks. This seems like a decent short term fix to a major MS flaw. My question for you guys:

Can I power up with this second 20 gighard drive, and use it as a dedicated demos/RockBand/GuitarHero tracks drive? And use the original 20 gig drive when I'm ready to delve back into GTA4 and the like?

Is there any flaw in this logic or problem I'm not considering?

    Any assistance appreciated.

Main issue is that you will need a memory card for your Gamer Profile.

you could buy a momory card and keep moving files or you could pay for another gold profile on the second drive

Peace is but a shadow of Death,
Desperate to forget its painful past,
Though we hope for promising years,
    After shedding a thousand tears,
    Yesterday's sorrow constantly nears,
And while the moon shines blue,
By dawn, it will turn a scarlet hue.

Or do the 60 Gig route. Especially if you plan on taking advantage of the fall update and loading a couple of your games on the HDD.

yup, do the 60 g route for sure, and buy a 64mb memory card for 20 dollars, to put your gameprofile on the new HDD and just swap out HDD.

Oh? I wasn't aware of the pending 60 gig option..how much are they intending on charging? 80 dollars? (sounds right compared to the $150 for 120 gig drive)

when you guys say I need a mem card to use my profile on the second hard drive.. what exactly does that mean? it is my intention to lboot up this second hard drive whenever I have Rockband, GH3, Fallout3, etc in the drive. When you say 'profile', do you mean my game saves? why is M$ hurting my brain about this
