    I'd still say that Boston is better, and you can't forget about Boston College or the Bruins.

    Tigers? Eh, they were really good one year and lost anyway. I live near Boston so I'm going to say its better.

    Also, don't call the Lions good, they are disgraceful...

    In the 2000's Boston has World Series Championships and Superbowl Championships

    So I think when you own a good part of a decade's championships in the two most popular US sports you kinda have the bragging rights.

    Detroit has NHL and NBA championships, plus consistent winning in each sport. It's all on how you look at it really. You can make a good argument for either city. Like you said, those are the more popular sports, so they get more recognition.

    Why does people call NE Patriots Boston's team? Is Gillette Stadium in Boston or something?

    It's about a 30 min drive from the center of Boston

    Like 25 miles away from Boston, in Foxboro

    NBA:
    Celtics = Pistons

    NHL:
    Red Wings > Bruins

    NFL:
    Pats > Lions

    MLB:
    Tigers = Red Sox

    I'd say they're about even right now.

    Alaska for the win!

    Toss in NY as well - NY Giants won the super bowl. NY Mets are a strong team in the NL, Yankees are still contenders. Even the NY Rangers are in the playoff hunt in the NHL. Meh the Knicks.

    In my opinion, Boston is doing better than Detroit right now(though I think this whole argument is silly), so I'm not discrediting Boston or anything.

    But, c'mon man. This is like the fifth time I've heard you bring up the Revolution when talking about how great the Boston-area is. Stop. They don't count.

    Hey how about you update your sig. NE vs NYG LOSS. 18-1 Your just another bandwagon rider and you dont want to update your sig. You would rather get rid of your sig than add the 1 loss to your sig.
