The Orange Box: Art Cover

    One of the best game packages of the year, The Orange Box has been marred with one of the most imagineles spieces of box art I've seen in a very long time. What on earth were they thinking? Were they going out of their way to make it look as bargain basement cheap and unappealing as possible? The people responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

    So it looks like this - where the art looks mismatched and carelessly mashed together:





    and it could've looked something like this and actually been kinda cool - much like the imagery in the game itself:



    Why do games publisher continue to always aim for the lowest possible common denominator with stuff like this?I just don't understand. How can such a good game have such a messy cover ?

    at this point, you either love it or you hate it. box art won't change your mind either way. didn't for me.

    i didnt like the orange box anyway, im selling it for COD4

    the graphics are bad, tF2 is boring and pointless, the only good game in the package is Portal

    I like it, because it shows the content in a simple way, did you want it to be Gordon Freeman running like all the other games?

    And in the corner saying "Portal and Team Fortress 2" in tiny words just so that it didn't messed with Freeman sprint.

    exactly! this box cover shoots right to the point and shows the content that is within the game. which turned out to be one of the greatest xbox 360 titles out. its not misleading at all like some of the other titles out there, which turn out to be the worst 360 games.

    exactly! this box cover shoots right to the point and shows the content that is within the game. which turned out to be one of the greatest xbox 360 titles out. its not misleading at all like some of the other titles out there, which turn out to be the worst 360 games.

    Whoever made the poster for the Aqua Teen movie should've done the box art for the Orange Box.

    I disliked the Orange Box cover, i wanted something to stand out and they look they have been stook together useing photo shop

    yea this is the only bad part i think of when it comes to OB. i love TF2, portal is godly, and Half Life is god...lier

    I think this is a joke thread because no sane person would think a plain orange background with 'The Orange Box" written on it would be better.

    are you guys handicapped? This thread is not about the game itself or how boxart affects the game; this thread is about how ugly the boxart is for a game deserving much more. I do think that a plain orange box with "The Orange Box" written in black words on the front would look way better than that ugly insult to half life.
