Yeah I heard about this, but there is no telling when this movie we'll be done since he has another project coming up ahead of it. Honestly, I don't even know if this movie will make it out, as it is so far away, but hey we might see it sometime in 09'. Anyway, I like the casting selection as I love Wahlberg, and he was really my second or third pick. My other ideal actors would have been Aaron Eckhart or Thomas Jane (Punisher) or maybe Keanu Reeves (don't make fun of me, I'm serious)
Thomas Jane

Aaron Eckhart:

Keanu Reeves:

I was thinking of him too, well I was thinking of him and Michael Madsen...Both are a littletoo old, and a little too muscular.

- Hmmm Whalberg is actually an ok actor, its more the script and the writing im concerned about. Wahlberg can probably pull it off all right but if they stray too far from the game (like most video game movies) than it will crash and burn with its bastard brethern.

Film noir is somewhat wooden, relying more on the story than the actors expressions, somewhat. But then again, I don't know if I've ever really seen a good film noir.

- I think Wahlberg is the right actor for this movie

Keanu never even crossed my mind. He would have been perfect for the role.
But Mark is good so no biggies.

Once again a little too old, and a little too muscular.
Edit: Plus he'd have to wear a wig.

"Just in case you guys are keeping score, Jeff Gerstmann got released before Duke Nukem Forever." Anonymous HotSpot Caller.I wonder if there's a possibility of this reviving the possibility of Max Payne 3.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

My specs (10635 3DMarks):
Athlon X2 5400+ BE overclocked to 3.3 GHZ with Artic Cooler 64 / 2 x 1 GB G-Skill DDR2 800 RAM / 512 MB PNY GeForce 8800 GT / Asus M3A motherboard / 500W Antec Power Supply/ Samsung 940BW 19" LCD Monitor (1440x900)
The picture of Keanu makes him look perfect for the role, but Wahlberg will be a good cast as well. I'll just have to get used to his voice for the project instead of the gravely Max from the games.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

- Nov 9, 2007 3:46 pm PTif the movie got them to make another game it would be with the actors, so mark wahlberg would be the new max. it would kill it for me. But he should do in a movie, is he short?

I write a lot. That's what I do.
Track me and I'll possibly track you back, accepting some union requests.I personally would've suggested Dean Winters or the voice of Max himself, James McCaffrey. But Hollywood rarely ever casts unknown actors in star roles, which is kind of sad when you think about it.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
