I'll begin with my story:
I play games on the PC since I was around 7, which is almost 12 years already. In all that time, I have never encountered such an issue: There are no goddamn games to play anymore!
In the last three months I reinstalled:
Diablo 2 + LOD for some battlenet action, made 2 build i've never tried before and got them high leveled and high end geared. Boring now.
Gothic 1+2, both completed for the fifth or sixth time.
Fable TLC finished third time.
Max Payne 1+2 finished second time.
GTA San Andreas, got stuck in the same exact mission I've got stuck on the last 2 play throughs.
NFS MW + Carbon, Both completed 100%.
Dungeon Keeper 2 finished game for the Zillionith time.
Warcraft 3 + tFT completed on hard for the second time.
Final Fantasy 7, beat all weapons, Cloud became super man, got boring. Completed for the 15th or 16th time.
Fallout 1+2, Planescape Torment, finished with builds I've never tried before.
SW:KOTOR 1+2, completed and bored, 3rd time.
Now playing Galactic Civs 2 Dark Avatar and after a few 5-10 hour games, I'm bored.
The point of all that is this: Could anyone recommend me a GOOD game (Old or new, I really don't care) that I might not get bored of after 2 days of playing? Cause I'm climbing up my own goddamn walls from my old games.
Thanks for reading and I hope someone could help my situation. (And just to save you from posting a stupid post, Yes, I do have a life and friends and I go out every night, and YES, I have a girlfriend)
Peace.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I do NOT want to play WoW again, I got 2 Level 70's with high gear and the game suddenly got boring.

What I said came from a seriously hurting place.. I've never encountered a situation that I'm bored with something I love so much and something that I grew to be so good at.
I would do almost anything for a game that can keep me not bored and challenged for a week.

I know exactly where you are coming from, PotatoPai. I am playing games like GTA 2 and Doom II these days..
I think they call it the stagnation of gaming? Itīs funny seeing the industry grow while most games get crappier..
As for recommendations, did you ever play Mafia ? Alien versus Predator 2 ? Jedi Academy ? In Jedi academy you can bind game speed to keys and have bullettime. Also, with another cheat players limbs are cut off when you hit them with the light saber :)

lol, but seriously there're few games you didn't played - i mean you've mentioned only 10-15 games you've played like 5 times each - PC gaming isn't a console, so you've finished Gothic 1 and 2 - where the new 3rd one gone?
anywayi can't write here all great games that i've played so - why don't you enter to my profile and check out the games i've rated - i'm sure you'll find there few good that you haven't played

I'll give your profile a look, but note that I too cannot mention all the games I've played, and I played many.
If I can't find anything good by the end of next week, I think I'll start reviewing some of the games I've played, that might keep me busy for a while.

3 top end games drop next month. Quake Wars, Bioshock, and Medal of Honor: Airborne. And then Some really anticipated ones towards Winter.
I agree its been an odd summer with few releases. But next month will be great. And every month after has a good release or 2. So just wait a bit longer and you'll be back in action shortly.

En Taro Adun, Executor!
Try medieval 2 but it depends on taste so you might not like it but its challenging. Also i would recommend company of heroes, age of empires 2 and 3 (good campaigns), thief series, dawn of war series- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Bah!
You people and your not mentioning Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and its expansions!
And Medieval 2: Total War, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
Or you could do what I do, get a bunch of buddies together, get some dice and play some D&D.

- Jul 28, 2007 10:05 am PTThe console effect on games summarized: "Saving content. Please do not turn off the machine"I noticed your list was missing System Shock 1 & 2, there's a nice couple to try, I think you can at least stand the outdated graphics on SS2 and hopefully also the ones on SS1. By the time you finish both of those, BioShock should be out and you can pick that one up.
