Yeah, CoH is definately not the most realistic RTS.  I think that honour would go to the Close Combat series.

    - You need to train with weapons to get a better aim

    - If you get injured, you can use medicine. Use it too much and you could get addicted
    - You can actually get drunk and high
    - You need to get a license to be able to use vehicles (Copters, Boats, Tanks: Each with their own license)
    - Money is hard to come by
    - You can do EVERYTHING: Be a banana seller. Be a mercenary. Work as a policeman. Work as a mobster. Sell Coconuts. Join the Guerillas. Hunt for treasures. Be a fisherman. Earn money by driving bus. Work for the CIA against the Mafia.
    - Your guns need to be fixed and get jammed frequently
    - Cars, boats etc. need fuel which is expensive
    - You can't just take a weapon off a dead enemy: They're most likely rusty and won't work well.

I played this game for like 1 1/2 years and always find myself coming back to it. It's so awesome in it's fixed state!

I have the game, but it is too buggy.... maybe with some optimizion it would be better....
Those are only games.... so no need to get mad

America's Army and Red Orchestra pale in comparison to the realism of Operation Flashpoint, there's no game that really sticks more to the historical and realism aspects in gaming than OF.

    Deus Ex on realistic mode.

You get shot in the head or chest, you die.  Get shot in the legs, you cant walk and have to crawl.  Seems extreme but ultimately quite realistic.

Also Operation Flashpoint in pretty realistc in terms of atmosphere, weapons and equipment, and damage modeling.

I'm not expecting you to rage. You're too stoned to do that. I expect you to shut up, though.

I think we're all missing a point... there really aren't "real games"... no one would play them if they were real, therefore no one would produce them. The whole point of playing a game is to escape reality... creating a 'real' game would distroy the point of digital gaming. If you want to play a real war game... join the AF or the Marines. If you wanna play a real sports game... go get a football or a soccerball or a baseball or whtatever... but asking what video game is real is pointless.

Favorite games of all time (in no particular order):
-Final Fantasy Tactics (PS) -GTA:San Andreas (PS2/PC)
-Final Fantasy 7 (PC) -Simcity 4 (PC)-Gemstone III (MMO - PC) -Civilization IV (PC) -XCom Ufo Defense (PC) -Sins of a Solar Empire (PC)
    -Pokemon Red/Blue(GB)
    -Advance WarsDual Strike (DS)
    -Super Mario World (SNES/GBA)

    More to be added later...
