moth hunter achievement. lost planet.??

    i am a little confused how do you go about getting it, because i have already killed the big moth boss, at the top of the mountain twice now.  on like level 4 or 5 cant remember, but is that the moth they are talking about.?

    That's a wasp not a moth. You run into the Moth in levels 4 and 5 (at least I think so been awhile) and it is easiest to kill it in 5.

    The Moth appears on two levels. While you can kill him when he first appears, you need to kill him during his second appearance to move on, so it's generally easier to wait. You just plug him in the wings a few times and when he dies you'll know it because he screeches and crashes into the mountain opening up a passage for you to continue.

    i guess you don't have to beat him to move on cause i've beaten the game and haven't gotten that achievement ..

    ok well you know that level where you have to jump from platform to platform going up, in the VS. and then jumping out of the whole and you outside, then you go up a little higher ontop of the mountain, and its a boss, fight, like level 4 i think. is that a moth or a wasp?

    I guess it's the Wasp there, because the Moth is fought on foot, there is no VS. The level where I killed the Moth I started on the ground and had to grapple my way up while taking out loads of generators. At one point you have to swing from a wooden bar over a crevice. You can either swing over or time your jump to land on the bar to pick up some additional SMG ammo. Finally you work your way to the top of the mountain and you are on a ledge with some room to survive being knocked off your feet by the Moth (I apologize for saying you have to beat the Moth to move on, I forgot the entrance to the cavern is right behind you at this point). From this platform you use the rocket launcher to hit the Moth's wings at least twice each (wait for him to be close, he keeps flying around and comes close enough to you that you get an easy shot). When he crashes into the mountain he's dead and you'll get the achievement (I didn't check to see if I gotit until the start of the next level).

    ok thanks but would you know what level this is, is it before or after you fight the green eye. or green horn that killed your dad?

    Okay, I dug out the guide for you. It is Level Five. Green Eye is the Boss on Level Six.

    What I did was grapple my way all the way to the top, killing everything along the way. Then I picked up the VS laser gun and went all the way back down to the bottom. Then I just waited for the moth to make it's passes and nailed it with a laser shot. Each blast takes off about 1/4 of its HP but it's hard to land the hit. Not that hard, though. The moth will never touch you so you have all the time you need to aim.

    Holy crap. Ok he is in level 5.If he is an any other levels those ones are harder. At the starting of the level you have to jump from platform to platform. At a time you will reach the top kind of and there will be a lazer gun near the top take it! then when you get to the very top there will be a cave dont enter yet, and for you coin collecters there is a coin up there to. The coin is located right when you about to enter the cave look behind you. Ok back to the Moth he will keep flying back and forth and you will have the lazer rifle/cannon. When he kinda gets close and swoops pass charge up the gun before he gets there and wait! Then when he is close fire it off and bloow a part of his wing off and you have to blow each part of his wings 2  times. And he will come around once more and crash into the wall tu-da! you will get the achevement when the level is finished.

    Ok,,, i killed thing in lvl 4 i killed something in lvl 5 and i didn't get the achievement, is't possible that i avoided somehow actual moth and those what i killed in those leves was not it ??

    Or maybe you cant get worm and moth hunter achievement during one campaign?

    the moth i killed was i think level 5 at the top of that mountain used a laser and rockets and killed it, you don't get the achievement then, you have to finish that level than after completing the level you will get it. you can get both worm and moth in one campaign too

    so propably somehow I avoid it, is there any way to go back to level let say 5 and play against moth to get achievement?

    Is this moth looks more like buterfly or is this that thing what you fight there where is big column in the middle of map and this thig shooting at you with some kind of missels?
