In Iowa, my former district had a person who was falsifying their timeclock to say that they were showing up early, when they were actually showing up late. This is one of the dumbest things you can do because most GameStops are equipped with an alarm system and CCTV, so it could be unequivicably proven that this person was showing up late. This happened for a couple weeks before the manager fired this person. The person then decided that they want to play the race card and call corporate to threaten a racial discrimination lawsuit. Rather than be hassled by such indignities, this GameStop in the Midwestern US decided to hire him back at Corporate's order.

You won't hear about this anywhere because nobody likes to talk about it. The manager of that store, who begged to be transferred after that, was not supposed to talk about it. The MIT who was working there, and who was being harrassed by the man in question, quit, then was promoted not long after to manager. The store manager that I was telling you about, he decided to take a paycut (about in half if you read my other posts) just to work in another store away from this insanity.

In other words, if you are not white and you work for GameStop, you cannot be fired for any reason (short of actually committing a crime larger than fraud). This really sucks if you are white and get fired for a customer complaint, but c'est la vie. GameStop would also rather transfer out the managing staff than to deal with the possibility of a racial discrimination lawsuit.

If you see Oliver in Des Moines (oops), tell him hi.
