By winning what was undoubtedly one of the toughest and most tightly competitive fields in recent memory, the best driving game of 2005 had to get everything right. It had to be approachable yet challenging, capture the inherent thrill of high-speed action, have depth to spare, and, most of all, be a lot of fun. Forza Motorsport nailed each of these aspects--marrying complex physics with an approachable learning curve, a full slate of online features, and some of the best-looking graphics yet seen on the Xbox. In a tight field of racers, Forza took the checkered flag by several lengths.
