Pac-Man was one of the greatest games of all time with its simple but addicting gameplay it was a game that could be played by anyone. Now that same game has come to the Xbox Live Arcade and what you get is pretty much the same gameyou saw in the arcades with some slight changes. If you've been living in a cave for just about your entire life and somehow haven't heard of Pac-Man this is how the game works. You're dropped into a small maze filled with yellow dots your goal is to eat all the dots in the maze if you do that you move onto the next level. However there are four ghosts that roam the area if you touch one of these guys you die. But if you eat one of the four large dots on the screen which are called power pellets you are then able to eat the ghosts for a small period of time before the power pellet wears off. Thats pretty much all you need to know to be able to play Pac-Man. In the Live Arcade version of Pac-Man there are 21 stages to play through. It may sound hard but in this version of the game you can save your progress so if you get a game over you can start over from the last level you were on. The graphics in Pac-Man aren't very good. Most of the games that have come to Xbox Live Arcade have had some little face lift whether it be slightly updated graphics or the addition of online multiplayer. In the case of Pac-Man almost nothing has been changed except for the ability to save your game. Meaning the game looks and sounds almost exactly the same as it did back when it first came out which is a big disappointment. Pac-Man also has very little value. Like most of the Namco game the achievements are very easy. And once you get past around the fourteenth level all the levels look the same. But if you are a big fan of Pac-Man or are looking for some easy achievements Pac-Man is the game for you and it can be fun for a while.
