Pac-Man World User Review
Pac-Man's transition to 3D ends well while staying true to the arcade game. Pac-Man World is fun little game with charm.

- "Underappreciated"
Even after all this time, Pac Man World is lots of fun. The game pits Pac-Man in a 3D world, however, the camera presents it all as though it were 2D. Pac Man World has you chomping pac dots, chomping on power pellets to chomp ghosts and bouncing on other enemies to defeat them. He can also do a rev-roll to open up dots and use pac dots against his foes.
The story is simple. Pac-Man' s friends were kidnapped and he needs to save his friends from the clutches of Toc-Man. The characters have charm, although forgettable.
The game features a hub where you'll be accessing levels. Every 3 levels features a difficult boss at the end. The first two before that are extremely easy composing of the same repetitive gameplay of bouncing on enemies, munching on pac dots and getting power pellets to chomp on ghosts.
The music is cheerful and nice to listen to. The graphics are one of the best for the first PlayStation.
Pac Man World is fun, although repetitive. It's nothing of the likes of Super Mario 64, but it's entertaining enough to be worth playing.

Pacman feels like a starters concept overstretched into a full sized game relying on the franchise name and fame

A teaser made for one of my graphic design classes. Don't bother using the website at the end, it's merely for show. Enjoy!Posted Aug 6, 2008
