This game can be awsomelly fun though sometimes you will hate that it is like... Arcade.

Starfox 64 (or Lylat wars) is a Spaceship shooter with great boss fights, sharp controls, good story, good multyplayer and a great overall gameplay. The bad moments of this game consist in the frustration on going all the way back to the first world as soon as you loose a tough boss fight and all your lives. You suddenly desire to this game to become bigger and have a save system, like Zelda, for instance. Though as the gameplay the graphics feel Arcade. But, if you ever play this, you should notice that even being an old game you end up not giving a **** about the graphics, the gameplay somehow manages to "suck" you in. To shoot all those Spaceships and the good old automatic targeting. Oh, well, enough said.
The strong point in this game is the gameplay that, even years after can still suck you in.
The weak point in this game is that the Arcade Gameplay can ruin some of the game's fascinating characteristics. When playing this game you'll feel like you didn't just want to put in a coin and beat records (you don't really put in a coin, that was some sort of a metaphore or a comparison).
So it's a 7.5 out of 10.
