A bright, fun platformer starring Namco's dot-eating mascot, Pac-Man

User Rating: 8 | Pac-Man World 2 PS2
This game is the sequel to the already pretty good game, Pac-Man world for the Playstation. Does this sequel top the first one? Hmmm... let's find out.

Graphics: The graphics are very good, for the time the game was released. The cinematic cutscenes look REALLY good, and the in-game graphics still look pretty good. Though sometimes there are some glitches, or sometimes frustrating level design, which only comes into play near the end of the game. 8.7/10

Controls: The controls are very good. Not perfect, but still very good. The controls are simple, which is good for people who don't like games that give you too many actions to perform. But luckily, Namco kept it simple, and delivered a solid control scheme that works. 9/10

Story: The game's story begins like this; Pac-Man is asleep in his home, with Pinky plucking petals off of a flower, obviously in love with him. The ghosts try as hard as they can to wreak havoc upon Pac-Village, but end up working as well as plans made by the Three Stooges. God, I loved that show... but back to the game. The ghosts pluck the golden fruit from the golden fruit tree, and unleash their dark leader, Spooky, who had been trapped under the tree for centuries. The ghosts fly off into the night and hide the golden fruit in one of the many worlds in Pac-Land. 8.7/10

Difficulty: To a newbie, the game will have a reasonable difficulty, but if you've played it before, it may seem a bit too easy. Which is why I don't reccomend playing through the game again, unless it had been a long time since you had last played it. 8/10

Entertainment: The game is very entertaining and very fun, but don't expect it to last for very long, as the game is very short, and could have done a lot more with how much data the PS2 can handle. The replay value is pretty low, and collecting all of the fruit and Pac-Pellets is really only for the hardcore completists. 7.9/10

Overall, I would reccomend this game to anybody, whether you knew who Pac-Man was, or not. It's a fun game with very good graphics, a strong story and a tame difficulty. Pac-Man World 2 recieves... 8.2/10
