User Rating: 7 | Pac-Man Collection GBA
Pac-Man Collection for the GBA is a collection of four Pac-man games: Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-Man, Pac-Attack, and Pac-Mania.

Pac-Man Arrangement is an updated take on the classic game. A slew of new gameplay elements have been added to the classic game, including a new ghost that acts as a power pill, dash arrows which propel Pac-man and allows him to stun enemies, and jumps that essentially transport you to other areas of the level quickly. There is also a new powerup pill that grants Pac-man new abilities, including the ability to split off a mirror image of himself that mirrors your moves on the other half of the screen.

Pac-Attack is a puzzle game in the style of Tetris, where you have to make lines while clearing out ghosts with special Pac-Man blocks.

Pac-Man is a port of the original game, and can be played either in fullscreen or zoomed modes. However, it doesn't seem like the patterns that you could run in the original arcade version carry over to this port.

Pac-Mania is another take, this time with an isometric view, and more ghosts in the maze. A curious ability Pac-man has acquired is the ability to jump, and this makes avoiding ghosts somewhat easier, at least in the beginning of the game. In later levels, some ghosts will also jump as well when Pac-Man jumps. Just like Pac-Man Arrangement, you have unlimited continues, but you'll have to start the level from scratch instead of continuing with all the dots you've eaten already gone.

It's too bad there's no way to save your high scores once you turn off your GBA, but overall, there's nothing terribly wrong with this compilation, and will provide for some quick classic gaming on the go.
