- The Bottom Line:
- "Highly addictive"
After about 3 decades from its first release, Pacman finally has got a rehash that's worth it and makes it more addictive than ever. Packing a variety of challenges with slight variations on the gameplay, you'll probably never get tired of Pacman Championship Edition. To give an example, in one of the game modes you start with full speed and have to survive for 10 minutes, in another mode the grid is dark so you can only see the yellow pellets and a small radius around Pac-man. To sum the gameplay i'd define it as fast-paced, allucinating and it will surely test your reflexes. the graphics are as simple as you can get, but the new glowing neon effects really add up to the experience, as you'll be returning for more and more chomping often. with online leaderboards and the xbox achievements it sure has some value and replayability since it's only 800 ms points and it's one of the best games available on the xbox live arcade catalog, you cannot certainly go wrong with this.

Good update on a great game but not enough to keep my attention focused on the game for long.

Finding a compromise between old and new makes the game fun at heart, but lack of content reduces value and longevity.
