An absolute blast
The thing I love most about this edition of Pac-Man is the customization. You can customize the colors of the maze, the character appearance, the music, and the physical structure of the maze. The 5 and 10 minute survival modes are fun and they continually drive you towards the ultimate reward: beating your previous high score. The game's brilliance lies in it's simplicity and quality: simple concept, fantastic graphics, and addicting gameplay.
As I was playing this, I couldn't help but think of Geometry Wars 2. I was hesitant about buying that game, too, but it quickly turned in to one of my favorite video games. The experience with Pac-Man DX was identical. I was hesitant at first, but now all I can think about is getting home to play this simple, fantastic game. For me, the best video games are the ones you think about while you're at work or the gym. It's safe to say I'll be thinking about the fun I've had playing this game until I get off at 5, at which time I'll resume playing Pac-Man DX with my girlfriend, who's now also hooked.
