PN03 is one of most unique games ever!!!
Most "Professional" reviewers that bashed this game, classified it as an action adventure, just like Tomb Raider..when actually, this game is a shooter, just like Ikaruga or Sin and Punishment.
the goal is score points, and beat the robots as fast as you can, dodge their fire using all Vanessa cool moves and than fight a huge boss at the end of every level
not explore, like Tomb Raider..
yes its true, the game has a long learning curve, and most ppl will look at it as a 3d action adventured with limited controls, and judge it like one
but, for true gamers, players that will give it a real try and not listen to the "professional" reviewers, P.N.0.3 stands as a true gem!!!
starting from the main character, Vanessa, shes one of most stylish characters ever to appear in a video game!!! it seems that Capcom put a lot of effort in her animation, to make Vanessa look even more human compared to all the machines you will fight in this game..the moves, omg, impressive set of moves and powerful attacks!!!
the gameplay is simple...run, stop by a wall, shoot when u get a chance, dodge enemy fire, score points and make big combos, and keep going to the next level....sounds cheap, but actually, its very addictive...when you master all her moves and learn the game well, you wont stop playing till you get all upgrades and moves!!!
the graphics are unique and the game has a great art direction....the dominant colors are white and gray, and maybe that caused reviewers to say this game is repetitive..when isnt
its just art style, and works great at my point of view...Vanessa is at a sci-fi military base infested with killer machines...
the light effects are also great and the rooms are very different from each other...maybe the enemies are repetitive as you fight lots of them over and over, but their 3d models are also great
the sound is basically the techno music , that fits the game very well, and sound effects of explosion, destruction and gunfire through the game...theres no voices in the game, maybe Capcom should have worked more in this department
the gameplay is hard at beginning and simple after u master it...just play it as a 3d shooter and it will play great..if you play as an action adventure, u gonna have a frustrating experience, because PN03 is a shooter...
as i said b4, PN03 is highly addictive... the goal is finish every level taking the less damage possible, dodging gunfire and scoring as high as you can through the use of combos...points are required to unlock some game content, such as new cool moves for Vanessa, new suits and upgrades
For those who had patience and tried PN03 the way its meant to be played, its a fantastic experience...i just feel sad for those who ignored this gem after reading some 10 minutes reviews like the one made by Gamespot, which classified the game as action adventure...fire the reviewer please lol
