Outrun is a mid 80's driving game. You would drive your sports car throughout several levels attempting to get to the finish before time runs out. At each checkpoint, you are given more time to make it to the finish, but if you don't time it just right (i.e. crashing or staying in the wrong gear) you WILL run out of time. Then its game over for you.

Graphics: REALLY good graphics for the time. Not really any slowdown, and lots of detail in the side, fore and backgrounds. The little animations the characters make when you crash them is pretty funny. Although I still don't like how the car looks the same no matter how many times it has wrecked into something. BUT it was made in 1986

Music and Sound: Both are great. I love the music in this game. Easy to drive to. the sounds are pretty good. Cars sound like cars and crashes sound like crashes.

Fun: Trying to beat your best time is always good for replay value.

Overall: Fun game. I beleive it has been re-released on a Sega pack. Try and find it....Old school drving at its best!
