Great racing/driving game by 1987 standards.

Yes, it's simple by today's standards. There's no customizable cars, no photo-realistic tracks. But this game is from 1987, and back in 1987 this game was state of the art. It has "3D" graphics, an invigorating soundtrack, a realistic highway populated with a variety of cars (I think there are four different types of cars milling around) and a total of fifteen different track segments with sixteen routes you can take. Heck, even a 3D glasses version was made! However, the difficulty is a little steep and the speeds can get hard to manage at some points. When I play, crashes are relatively frequent (probably a couple of crashes every level) and that is the main slowdown.

This game is still fun to play from time to time and gets a solid 8.5 score. It has held up pretty well for its age.
