With captivating cinematic movie scenes and a diverse set of characters you'll be sucked in by the story from the start.

User Rating: 10 | Shin Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams PS2
Onimusha 4 or as it's dubbed "Dawn of Dreams" holds true to the standard set by the previous installments even surpassing them in its gameplay, graphics and compelling story. Anyone that has played any of the past Onimusha game won't have any problems with the controls right off hand and newcomers to the series will easily learn the basic movement, attack and defense setup. Single player mode even lets you switch between two characters in mid-battle with the push of a button.

The length of the game is surprisingly very long considering how time flys when you're having a good time. There will be enough hack and slash action to go around as in some points in the game, the enemy just won't stop coming.

The Real time graphics are amazing and very detailed but anyone could guess it's because Capcom made it(You know. The makers of "Resident Evil"? Yea those guys). So the attention to detail is so clear and the textures and surfaces everything from smoke to the lighting effects were all done exceptionally well. So imagine how the cutscenes look!

The story had many twists and turns in it and is very complex as well. You'll also find references to old characters and even characters of bloodline decent that resemble in looks to characters in the past Onimusha games. Overall, the story here is fairly solid through and through but does leave you with some questions at the end that maybe answered in the next one.
