Even better than I expected.
I got it wrong. Okami's better than I expected. The cel-shading graphics are excellent, the drawing system is very innovative and fun, the story (although it certainly isn't what makes you play the game on and on) is very good, the gameplay is very well programmed and the sound effects are great. In the first time I played, I've got to say I was a little nervous because of those 'noises' that are supposed to be the voices of the characters. But after some hours of game, you will get used to it and will even thank Capcom for putting on those noises, because I know that if there were normal voices there, they would certainly be crappy.
But the game's not perfect. There are some things to be improved. First of all, I dunno if it's only me, but I thought Amaterasu is VERY slow, when not in that 'rush' mode. The other thing is that I miss an 'aim-lock' button, so that you can concentrate your fighting in one enemy. Basically, these are the only bad points of this game.
Finally, Okami is a great game. It's CERTAINLY worth buying it - it's not going to be wasted money! You'll play it for hours and hours and won't get tired of it, believe me. If you're looking for plain fun, stop losing time and go buy Okami!
